Fire detection, designed to the correct category.
BS 5839 compliant fire alarm systems designed for your building's actual risk profile — not a one-size template. Addressable, conventional and wireless, installed and maintained by SSAIB certified engineers.
The right category, evidenced
L1 to L5, P1 to P2 — we determine the correct category for your building and document why, so your fire risk assessment and insurer line up.
Addressable & conventional
From single-zone conventional panels to fully addressable networks that pinpoint the exact device in alarm.
Wireless where it matters
Listed buildings and live sites get wireless detection — full compliance with no destructive cabling.
Monitored 24/7
Connected to our UK control room with fire brigade escalation. An alarm at 2am gets a response, not a voicemail.
Maintained on schedule
Six-monthly servicing under BS 5839, with weekly test guidance and logbooks your auditor will actually accept.
Compliance paperwork done
Design, installation, commissioning and verification certificates — documentation that survives an audit.
Compliance built in, not bolted on
The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 makes you, the responsible person, legally accountable for fire safety. We make sure the system behind you holds up — and 2026 brings new cabling rules, mandatory evacuation plans and second-staircase requirements.
- Full design to BS 5839-1 with documented category rationale
- Commissioning and certification on every install
- Cause-and-effect programming for plant shutdown, door release and AOVs
- Integration with nurse call, access control and sprinkler monitoring
- Planned preventative maintenance with engineer response SLAs
Fire Alarms, answered.
Almost all UK commercial premises must have an appropriate fire detection and warning system under the Fire Safety Order 2005. The category required depends on your building and fire risk assessment — we design to it and document the rationale.
Conventional panels identify the zone in alarm; addressable panels identify the exact device. Addressable costs more up front but slashes investigation time and false alarm disruption on larger sites.
BS 5839 recommends servicing at least every six months by a competent person, plus a weekly user test. Our maintenance contracts cover both, with documentation included.
Yes. We survey it, tell you honestly what's compliant and what isn't, and take over maintenance — replacing only what genuinely needs replacing.
